Company Team Building Day vs Company Away Day

Employers should set out their objectives and what they want to achieve from the awayday.

• A seniority-free environment will get the best out of the entire group.
• Timing must be appropriate. For example, a company awayday for the accounts team will not go down well around the end of the financial year.
• Consider the differing physical abilities and tastes of all staff members.

Employees are motivated by being rewarded and by offering employees the right mixture of incentives, benefits and training, it helps to attract higher-quality candidates, as well as help to retain current employees.

So what does the ultimate day on the water look like? We recently put together an event for a client which included the charter of two luxury yachts, a rib powerboat, two Jetskis and two Flyboard Aquatic Jetpacks. Clients were able to experience a sail from Poole Harbour to Studland aboard the yachts, once at anchor they were then able to learn to Flyboard, drive the Jetskis and have a tour of the Jurassic Coast on the Rib. Not a bad day out of the office by anyones standards!
